Chelsea Lyons Teta is a working artist focused in drawing, painting and collage. In her work she explores subjects mined from distant and recent memories, abstracted by layers of paint, pencil, fabric and paper. Like memory itself, the resultant pieces are complex and wholly personal. Chelsea works with an ever expanding visual vocabulary, creating a dreamy world of surreal characters, textures and colors.
Chelsea graduated with honors from Massachusetts College of Art and Design’s BFA printmaking program. Her work has been featured in solo and group shows across the East Coast. She continues to create work from her Boston based studio.
